The RAF took part in a Green Flag exercise at Nellis AFB, NV as the last part of a comprehensive program to clear the Typhoon for air-to-surface combat readiness.
Using both canon and bombs the RAF’s newest fighter will now be dubbed FGR.4 from it’s current F.2 moniker.
The exercise had such significance that Group Captain Stuart Atha, Station Commander at RAF Coningsby was in attendance (static slide # 8 and 9) as well as Wing Commander Gav Parker (static slide # 10).
The pilot in static slide # 14 is Flight Lieutenant Etienne Smith.
