The last time I took photos at Luton Airport there was a viewing area where the Easy Jet building is situated - that was a LONG time ago!
Anyway, the reason for my visit was to catch the Air Atlantique Classic Flight DC-6 in its smart new Eagle livery. The DC-6 was on its way to the London City airshow and was making a stop to be part of a ground photo shoot with a Monarch aircraft. Monarch is the airline that started its life as Eagle which the DC-6 represents.
It was hot and windy and I managed to get the most enormous splodges of crap on my sensor, so the photos took a lot of fixing, and many were beyond that. Also, even though I shoot RAW, the photos came out with very high contrast, which I had to dial down in post processing - something I've never encountered before or since - weird.
Thanks to Karl for the heads-up and the use of the step ladder.
