Universidad Aeronáutica en Querétaro, Mexico - April 2017

Universidad Aeronáutica en Querétaro is Mexicos largest aerospace university and was established in 2007.

The school idea was kickstarted by Canadian Aerospace company Bombardier, who after worldwide contest, selected Querétaro as a location to manufacture aircraft. Of course, if you have a manufacturing plant, then you'll need skilled employees to work there.

The Mexican government funded the school , and since then it has never looked back.

The vast campus is spacious and meticulously clean, inside and out, and here students can learn the trades of all the various aspects of aviation manufacturing.

One notable aircraft present, is the second prototype Canadair Regional Jet, C-FNRJ (7002), which was used to be the avionics and systems testbed, before it became the main testbed after the loss of 7001.

The airframe was donated to the school by Bombardier in 2010.
