Caretaker - Aldershot, West End Centre Saturday 5th February 2000
This was only the second time that I've caught Caretaker live, the first being last October, where they caught my ear with their Idlewild style of playing.

In these three short months, however, they have improved somewhat. Think of the vocal style of Muse, melded together with the hard edged sound of Idlewild and add some Fiji style playing and loops, and you get a fair idea of the outcome.

There was less tuning up time in between songs this time around, although Seb (bass) seemed very conscious of the tuning up time factor between some songs.

It was a great performance and got the crowd in Aldershot paying attention - normally a hard audience to please and very prone to talking amounst themselves.

The gig was coupled with the release of the "Pause" EP - a great listen for a debut release!) How can such young lads have talent so early on? Things can only go up from here!
